The physical education curriculum at Rockwell includes a variety of activities to enhance physical, social, cognitive and emotional development. Primary grades receive an emphasis in locomotor skills, rhythms, manipulative activities, ball skills, and tumbling/gymnastics. Secondary grades reinforce and master the above areas as well as provide an introduction to soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, softball, and track and field games. Cooperative activities are balanced with competitive games and drills. Fitness activities that promote at least one area of physical fitness (strength, cardio fitness, flexibility, agility and balance) are part of each class period. Rockwell School's Climbing Wall |

| At Rockwell we place a lot of emphasis on good sportsmanship. Each year students select a sportsmanship motto. A banner with the motto is displayed in the gymnasium. Students in 4th and 5th grade recently did some writing about physical education. Click here to read some of their work. | |
