      About the Artists

Soprano Diane Bele received her Bachelor of Music degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and her Master of Music from Vandercook College of Music. She studied voice with David Nott and Ruth Erickson, organ with David Gehrenbach, and piano with Dwight Drexler at Illinois Wesleyan University. Mrs. Bele is a dedicated music teacher, performer, and church music director/organist. She teaches music at Einstein Elementary School in Schaumburg School District # 54 and directs 5 choirs at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Bensenville.

Harpist and flutist Karen Sheahan received both her Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Illinois. She studied harp with Alice Speero Keene at the University of Illinois and Cynthia Mowry of the Baden Baden Philharmonic in Germany. Her flute studies include Albert Saurini of the Indianapolis Symphony and Alexander Murray at the University of Illinois. Karen is a member of the Wheaton Symphony Orchestra and is an active church performer. She is currently an orchestra director in Schaumberg School District #54 while continuing to freelance in the area. Her compact disk "Moonlighting" was released in September 2000.
