Summer Music Camps are a great idea!
http://www.fortschools.org/hswebs/OrchestraBoosters/Camps.htm
Several summer music camps are available to middle school and high school students. These music camps concentrate on your child's instrument and provide a stimulating, motivating musical experience. Students can use funds they raise from the Geranium Sale for camp. to see a listing of many of the camps available. Contact Ms. Nielsen for more information.

Who may attend? Any student may attend a music camp. (Certain restrictions may apply. ie. age.)

What is Camp about? Summer music camps are held on campus at most colleges and universities throughout Wisconsin and other states. Most camps run for five or six days. The cost includes room, board, and tuition. There are a few extras.

Who should go? Any student who enjoys and loves making music, would like to learn a lot, and would like to spend time with others who love and enjoy music.

What goes on? Music camp students are able to find out about living the life of a college student , because they live in a dorm, eat in the college cafeteria, and attend classes taught by college professors and/or famous musicians form all over the country. Students learn a lot!!! It's a very fulfilling experience.

Social Events? Each camp has many and various age appropriate social events in the evenings which are planned for anyone who wished to attend. Of course, all camp activities are very well chaperoned.

  Ryan Lackore
I have been playing the cello since I was in sixth grade. I have been a section leader in an orchestra until 9th grade when I moved to Fort Atkinson. I was born in New Port Richie, Florida. And lived there for 15 years until I moved up here. I joined the orchestra here when I was a Freshman and played here ever since. I have had a lot of fun at this orchestra and have learned a lot. I have also made a lot of friends through orchestra. I am glad I joined and played in he orchestra. I plan on moving down to Florida after I graduate and attend St. Petersburg College for two years. Then transferring to University of South Florida and graduating with a degree in Business Management.

  Bobby Jo Kennedy
Bobbie Kennedy is seventeen years old. She has been playing the violin since the fourth grade. She is planning on attending Madison Area Technical College for an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting. For the last four years, she has been employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken/A&W. For the last five years, she has been employed at Frostie Freeze. She enjoys hanging out with her friends, and spending time with her family.
