I Like Camp
I have attended music camp at UW-Whitewater for five years. It has become
one of my favorite parts of the summer. I meet new friends
each year. I also learn more about my instrument and the music we play. We
rehearse as an orchestra, but there is also time allotted to chamber music,
private lessons, recitals, and recreation. I would recommend the experience
to anyone, especially younger players. Since Whitewater is so close,
commuting daily to the camp
is a feasible option.

Summer Music Camp Offerings
Who may attend? Any student may attend a music camp. (Certain
restrictions may apply.)
What is Camp about? Summer music camps are held on campus at most
colleges and universities throughout Wisconsin and other states. Most camps
run for five or six days. The cost includes room, board, and tuition. There
are a few extras.
Who should go? Anu student who enjoys and loves making music, would
like to learn a lot, and would like to spend time with others who love and
enjoy music.
What goes on? Music camp students are able to find out about living
the life of a college student , because they live in a dorm, eat in the
college cafeteria, and attend classes taught by college professors and/or
famous musicians form all over the country. Students learn a lot!!! It's a
very fulfilling experience.
Social Events? Each camp has many and various age appropriate social
events in the evenings which are planned for anyone who wished to attend. Of
course, all camp activities are very well chaperoned.
