Your child and music
 
Summer lessons
and camps are a great idea!
 
    Even though summer vacation is approaching, it is not the time to put the instrument away until Fall. Instead, your child has some wonderful opportunities to continue building his or her performance skills through summer classes and camps.

Summer Music Classes
      Ms. Nielsen will be teaching summer orchestra lessons through the Fort Atkinson Summer School program. Small groups will meet on Wednesdays for 40-minute classes throughout the six-week summer school schedule. The classes will be in small groups of students at similar levels and will be scheduled based on availability.
      These classes provide for more individual attention than during the school year and are a great way to build up skills for more difficult pieces. Summer School sign-up is April 21.  Click here to go to the summer lessons page.

Summer Music Camps
     Several summer music camps are also available to middle school and high school students. These music camps concentrate on your child's instrument and provide a stimulating, motivating musical experience. Students can use funds they raise from the Geranium Sale for camp.
