"Hoe, Hoe, Hoe!"

Santa's Time Off

Christmas Eve is especially busy
for Santa with all of his toys.
But first he must make them
Before he can take them
to all of the good girls and boys.

Doll houses and airplanes,
stuffed bears and toy trains
are crafted 'til Santa is through.
But he's still not done,
and he's still on the run
For he has to deliver them too!

From children in Chile
to kids in Poughkeepsi
And toddlers in faraway places,
Santa's main goal
as he leaves the North Pole
is a world full of kid's happy
faces.

When back from the joy
of delivering toys
Santa beds down his favorite
team.
With the slow rising sun
and another year done
you can see he's about out of
steam.

Once Santa's indoors
and completes a few chores
A need for a rest is at hand.
In a soft chair he's sink
with a piping hot drink,
To dream up his vacation plans.

To keep his mind clear
he will balance his year
by taking time off now and then.
His magic can take him
wherever he likes,
And whisk him back home again.
