Mark Leiser
Mark Leiser,
received his bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point and has taught string music in both the U.S. and Canada.
In the past, he has been the orchestra director in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Beaver
Dan Unified School District and Madison Metropolitan School District. Currently,
Mr. Leiser serves the Watertown Unified School District as the director of the
middle and high school orchestras. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr.
Leiser has been active as a conductor for musical theater and as a string bass
performer with the Beaver Dam Area Orchestra. He is the first conductor of
WYSO’s Sinfonietta, established in 1993.
