FAMS Jazz Strings

Begun in the 2003-2004 school year, the Jazz Strings made it's debut at the February 29, 2004 Middle School Jazz Event.  The group is composed of  8th grade Orchestra members. The Jazz Strings have learned basic jazz rifs, how to improvise, and back-up backgrounds.  The group has embraced jazz whole-heartedly, adding another dimension  to their string education.

They perform annually at the Middle School Jazz Cafe in January.
