SDFA 1Fort@Home Program Vision

    • Provide productive learning focused on continuity and review of prior learning.
    • Provide personal connections with students and families in complex and uncertain times.
    • Provide a positive learning experience with intentional planning for ALL learners.

     


Student/Family Expectations

    • Daily check-in - method determined by grade level
    • Recommended Learning BY WEEK:
      • Elementary Students (K-5) = 10 hours per week 
        • Based on 2 hours per day - includes time with the teacher and independent learning
      • Secondary (6-12) = 15 hours per week 
        • Based on 3 hours per day - includes time with the teacher and independent learning
    • Students will have access to additional enrichment opportunities beyond the recommended learning activities.  These include social times with teachers, club/organization meetings, etc. 

     


Guiding Principles - Phase 1 of 1Fort@Home

    • Student participation is not required; however, highly encouraged.
    • There will be no grading or formal assessment of learning.
    • Activities will be assigned by week.  
    • Families will have flexibility for when work is completed.  
    • Learning will be a reasonable time commitment for flexibility with other family responsibilities/challenges.
    • We will give ourselves and families grace as we all take on this new learning and new structures.
