About Mrs. Young....

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Young!  I have been teaching elementary school for many years!  Most of those years have been spent with second graders in Fort Atkinson.  Fort Atkinson is a great community.

I am married to Jack and have two children, Kyle and Karlie.  Our family resides in Fort Atkinson.  Any extra time I have, I spend with my family.  My family inspires me to be organized, flexible and most importantly to love and enjoy life. We laugh daily together and love to try new adventures.  Life is very exciting when we are together!

Working together with children and families at Luther Elementary School is an awesome way to spend my days!!  My classroom foster's an environment that is very active. I believe that children learn best when they have opportunities to work in small group and have discussions about what they are learning. I believe that each child brings something unique to the classroom and any input from students is EXTREMELY important. Students have lived different life paths and bring different experiences to the classroom. We like to celebrate and learn from these experiences to make us ALL smarter. Children learn in so many different ways and in our class, they are allowed to demonstrate their learning in a way that best fits their needs.
