Thank you for your support of Barrie Elementary School! 

 

We are holding our annual Barrie Blitz activity on Friday, September 20th. Students will participate in various fitness stations for 30 minutes. Family and friends are welcome to come watch and cheer them on! The money raised for this event will be used to continue to fund the new spider playground equipment we purchased as well as various other projects for our students at Barrie Elementary. 

 

The "Blitz" is a fun day where students will complete various obstacles outside with their classmates. The purpose of the day is to build community, get some exercise and to enjoy friends and family who we love to see come and spectate each year. Family members are welcome to watch. Each grade level will complete this course during their class special time scheduled for that day. (Schedule TBD).

 

The Barrie Blitz is also a one-time fundraiser for our PTO and will eliminate the many miscellaneous sales (pizza, cookies, ect.) throughout the school year. The idea is for students to be sponsored, or to receive pledges from family and friends for their participation. Please know ALL students will participate, regardless of any donations collected or not. However, this is a fun and healthy way for our students to help our school out by seeking out pledges for their participation and a way to give back by participating on Barrie Blitz Day. 

 

This year, if we can receive back 80% of our pledge envelopes, we will be turning Ms. Green into a "living work of art" by covering her with paint!
