In 2007 the Middle School and
High School we installed solar panels to heat our pools. Seventy-five percent of the installed cost of
these systems was paid for through incentives provided by Focus on Energy and
WE Energies. The electric savings due to
harnessing solar energy is approximately $15,000 for the high school pool, and
$10,000 for the middle school.
