Homeless Student Services in Fort Atkinson
School districts in Wisconsin are required to provide homeless children with access to the same educational opportunities as non-homeless children, including opportunities to meet the same challenging state academic standards.
If you are currently homeless and need assistance in providing new or continuing educational opportunities for your children, you may contact the School District of Fort Atkinson’s Homeless Liaison:

Rights for homeless children in the School District of Fort Atkinson include:
- The availability of a district liaison staff person
- Immediate enrollment and school participation, even if you do not have access to educational and medical records
- Transportation to and from school
- Free breakfast and lunch
