Current list of classes:
Machine Tool and Welding 1: Intro class to metals manufacturing. Students will learn to cut, shear, bend, and join metals. Projects include a layout project , tool tray project and a dust pan. Arc welding and oxyfuel cutting will also be taught in the semester.
Machine Tool and Welding 2: The class teaches MIG welding and basics of machine tool. First quarter is all about MIG welding in learning how to and different types of welds. Second quarter is all about learning how to use a lathe and mill for metals.
3D solid modeling: Students will learn about mechanical drafting, CAD and CAM. Students start off learning hand drafting and the basics of mechanical drafting. Students then learn CAD and 2 different programs: Solidworks and Fusion360. Students then learn how to take their drawing and put into slicer or CAM programs to crate G/M code to use 3D printers, CNC plasma cutter or CNC mill.
Dual credit classes:
Advanced Welding: Teaching the MATC curriculum for ARC and MIG welding.
Advanced Machine Tool: Teaching the MATC curriculum for machining. Various projects will be done to teach skills on MIll and Lathe. Intro to CNC Mill.
Fabrication: Teaching the MATC curriculum for fabrication. Students will be doing sheet metal projects and welding projects to learn basics of Fabrication.
