Dear Families,

Welcome to 8th Grade ELA! I am so excited you're here!

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.  I graduated in 2010 from Winona State University with a BA in Communications and Marketing.  I spent two years after graduating in sales, which I quickly realized was not for me.  After having my son Braxton in 2013 I decided it was the perfect time to go back to school to pursue a new career in teaching.  I received my teaching license from Cardinal Stritch University in 2015 and began my teaching career at Luther Elementary as a 5th grade teacher.  I then went on to receive my Masters of Education in 2018.  This year will be my 6th year of teaching 8th grade Language Arts here at FAMS - and every year keeps getting better!

My husband Brandon and I have 5 kids in our very blended family.  Sienna is our oldest at 12, Austyn is 11, Briggs is 9, Braxton is 7 and Hudson is 2.  We also have two rescue dogs, Leia and Millie who are both 9 years old.  As a family, we love to be outside any chance we get - whether that be swimming in the summer or sledding in the winter! My own hobbies include; coffee, reading, exercising and playing volleyball.   

I am so excited to have you in my class this year.  I am looking forward to a year full of learning, discovery and fun!
