Mrs. Schueller

Hello families!

I am one of the speech-language pathologists that work at FAMS, as well as FAHS. and began in this position in 2011.  I'm originally from Iowa and earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls.  After graduation, I spent several years working in adult rehabilitation before switching to the schools.  I'm so glad that I made the switch because working in education has been an exciting journey! My father and brother also work in education, so it runs in the family. The first school district I worked for was in Platteville, Wisconsin, where I worked with elementary and middle school students for twelve years before my family moved to Fort Atkinson.

My husband and I live in Fort Atkinson with our youngest daughter, who is in high school, and our dog, Sophie.  We have two older daughters that are currently in college.  Our oldest is graduating this year with hopes of teaching high school English next year.  Our middle daughter is a sophomore studying chemistry.  My husband's job is in the dairy industry, which has led two of our daughters to be involved with 4H and showing calves and heifers at county fairs.  As a family, we enjoy being outdoors and spend summer vacations camping in state parks.  My favorite outdoor activities typically involve the water but I also enjoy biking on trails. This year I might also try riding my bike to work since my youngest daughter has her driver's license now.  We'll see how that good intention works out!

I'm looking forward to working with you and your student this year!  Since developing good communication skills is the focus of my day, I also want to develop and maintain open lines of communication with families as well.  Working together, as partners, will set each student up for success.  Please don't hesitate to send me an email or give me a call whenever you have questions, concerns, or information to share.  Despite the extra challenges this year is bringing with it, I know that with grace, positivity, and partnership we'll work through every challenge and have an amazing year!

Sincerely,

Marcia Schueller
