Hi there! My name is Ashley Stewart and I am the school counselor at Purdy Elementary. This is my twelveth year in the profession and I am happy to be a Purdy Panther! I went to UW-Whitewater for both my undergrad and masters degree. I enjoy traveling, fitness, anything related to the fall season, and spending time with my husband and two children.

So, what does a school counselor do?

As the school counselor at Purdy, it is my role to address the developmental needs of all students through the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program in the areas of academic, personal/social, and career development.  In doing so, I teach classroom guidance for grades K-5, provide individual counseling/student planning, assist in responsive services, and seek for system change and support.  I am a huge advocate for our students and I strive to teach them to become kind, passionate, and lifelong learners.
