Mrs. Schaefer’s kindergarteners at Rockwell had a wonderful first day!
They read Our Classroom is a Family and talked about kindness, respect, helping others, and working hard because they are a school family. ❤️
Students made name bracelets, enjoyed First Day Jitters with some “jitter juice,” had plenty of playtime, and loved recess. What an amazing start to kindergarten! 🌟

🎶✨ The FAHS Show Choirs are back in action! ✨🎶
Over the past week and a half, our singers have been working hard with choreographer Dallas James Pritt to prepare their competition shows.
You can catch both the Lexington Singers and the South High Street Singers at home performances as well as competitions in nearby communities—including Milton, Janesville, and Monona Grove.
Mark your calendars 📅—the highlight of the season will be their home competition on February 14, 2026! We can’t wait to see you there cheering on our talented performers. 🎤

👮♂️🚓 Officer Boeve stopped by Safety City to talk with our young learners about the important role police officers play in keeping us safe. The students learned about bike safety, ways officers help in our community, and even got a close-up look at a real police car! 🚴♀️🚨
Thank you, Officer Boeve, for taking the time to visit and teach us so much! 💙

🚌 A big THANK YOU to Bus Driver Steve for bringing a bus to Safety City! Our students had a great time enjoying the ride and learning all about how to stay safe on the bus. We appreciate you helping make safety fun and memorable! 👏

🧵👾 Monster-Making in Design, Create, and Sew!
Our talented students in the Design, Create, and Sew class have been busy turning felt and thread into frightfully fun creations—monster plushies! 🎨🪡

🧵✂️ Our Design, Create, and Sew students are diving into their first project of the term—hair scrunchies! This fun and functional activity helps students learn (or refresh) their basic sewing machine skills and hand stitching techniques.

New Mural in the Sensory Space! ✨🎨
We are so excited to share the brand new mural that was added to the Sensory Space at Barrie! This room was new this year and quickly became a favorite spot for many of our students — it got LOTS of use!
We can’t wait to see our students' reactions when they return in the fall and see this beautiful new addition!

🍦 Mrs. Schroeder's 2nd grade class at Barrie celebrated the end of the school year with one final walking field trip — a sweet visit to Frostie Freeze - Fort Atkinson! The perfect way to enjoy some sunshine, make memories, and enjoy a tasty treat together. ☀️

🎓✨ Something extra special about this year’s graduating class — the number of twins!
In what’s becoming a fun tradition over the past few years, this class had five sets of twins walk across the stage together!

One scoop closer to summer! ☀️🍨
Third graders at Barrie Elementary got to enjoy a sweet treat celebrating the end of the school year!

Our Fort Atkinson High School team, Middle School Qualifying Individuals, as well as our Purdy Elementary Qualifying Individuals participated in the 2025 NASP Championship in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on June 5-6th. Our teams and archers truly showcased their hard work, focus, discipline, and determination.♥️🖤
From the moment our Fort Atkinson archers arrived, the energy was electric. Archers from all across the United States (Top 25%-the best of the best) came together to compete, and our archers rose to the challenge with confidence and focus.
Whether it was achieving personal bests, encouraging teammates, or learning from the tough moments, every member of our archery team gave their all. It wasn’t just about the scores—it was about growth, sportsmanship, and proudly representing our 1Fort community!

🌿 Barrie Garden Club Harvest Party!
Last week, families and teachers joined the Barrie Garden Club to celebrate the season with garden-themed treats, rock painting, and fun games!

✨🎨 Last week, we wrapped up the 34th Annual Ernie Pope Art Show with a fantastic closing reception! 🖼️
👏 Congratulations to the students who received recognition for their incredible work—and a big shoutout to all the talented artists who participated in the show.

🎓✨ What a special day at Rockwell!
Our #1Fort students were thrilled to line the halls and cheer on the graduating Seniors from Fort Atkinson High School as they made their memorable walk through the building. We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next. 🖤❤️

🚓🐾 Mrs. Hahn-Hammer’s third graders at Purdy had an exciting visit from Officer Boeve and Detective Lawrence this week—and the highlight? Watching K9 Smitty show off his speed, clocking in at an impressive 22 mph! 🐶💨

🚓 Because Purdy had the biggest family turnout at March’s DARE Bowling Fundraiser, our fifth graders scored an exclusive tour of both the Police Station and Fire Station—topped off with a sweet stop at Frostie Freeze - Fort Atkinson! 🍦
