This past weekend, our debate team competed at Rufus King High School. The pairs of Logan Crossman & Riley Cunningham and Eli Szabo & Walid Guerra represented us in the PF Varsity division—where Eli and Walid took 1st place! 🏆👏

📚 A big thank you to all the families who supported the Rockwell Book Fair during conferences last week! Your support helps our PTO continue a wonderful tradition — selecting books for students to receive on their birthdays. 🎉

This week, each grade level spent time with Miss Walden reviewing our school theme of “Let’s Glow” along with our Rockwell expectations. The assembly reminded us that showing kindness helps others shine and glow, too! 🌟

Early mornings, bright futures—the Class of 2026 is ready! 🌅 Last week, the Class of 2026 came together bright and early to watch the first sunrise of the school year! What a special way to kick off senior year. ✨

💜 Last week, Mrs. Janke’s class at Barrie reread Our Class is a Family and talked about how they are now a classroom family who will learn and grow together this year.

To wrap up the lesson, students made Kindergarten friendship bracelets to remind them of the special bond they share. ❤️

The day ended with a fun school-wide assembly—such a perfect way to finish off the week! 🎉

🐾 Moose Tracks made a special appearance to greet our students!

Moose even stopped by each classroom so that every student could meet him before he comes back for another visit later this month. After a busy day of making new friends, this sweet pup was one very tired puppy! 🐶

Mrs. Schaefer’s kindergarteners at Rockwell had a wonderful first day!
They read Our Classroom is a Family and talked about kindness, respect, helping others, and working hard because they are a school family. ❤️

Students made name bracelets, enjoyed First Day Jitters with some “jitter juice,” had plenty of playtime, and loved recess. What an amazing start to kindergarten! 🌟

Mrs. Schafer and Mrs. Schuldt were so excited to welcome their new students and families last week. 💙

🎶✨ The FAHS Show Choirs are back in action! ✨🎶
Over the past week and a half, our singers have been working hard with choreographer Dallas James Pritt to prepare their competition shows.

You can catch both the Lexington Singers and the South High Street Singers at home performances as well as competitions in nearby communities—including Milton, Janesville, and Monona Grove.

Mark your calendars 📅—the highlight of the season will be their home competition on February 14, 2026! We can’t wait to see you there cheering on our talented performers. 🎤

🐾 The first day back to school can be hard for some—students and staff alike. Today, we had a very special visitor to make things a little easier!
Meet Moose Tracks, the Jefferson County Support Dog! 🐶✨

👮‍♂️🚓 Officer Boeve stopped by Safety City to talk with our young learners about the important role police officers play in keeping us safe. The students learned about bike safety, ways officers help in our community, and even got a close-up look at a real police car! 🚴‍♀️🚨

🧵👾 Monster-Making in Design, Create, and Sew! Our talented students in the Design, Create, and Sew class have been busy turning felt and thread into frightfully fun creations—monster plushies! 🎨🪡

🧵✂️ Our Design, Create, and Sew students are diving into their first project of the term—hair scrunchies! This fun and functional activity helps students learn (or refresh) their basic sewing machine skills and hand stitching techniques.
